Workshop
Fractal That! Design: From Pixels to Fabric Prints

So what is a Fractal? Basically, it is a repeating pattern and a natural phenomenon.
The Fractal Foundation has a great one page flyer explaining the concept:  Click here for the flyer

Learn to create stunning, one-of-a-kind designs with the Frax app on your iPad or iPhone, then turn them into modern wholecloth quilts or intricate appliqué patterns.

In this hands-on workshop, Jennifer walks you through Frax’s hidden menus and multi-touch gestures for Motion, Colors, Lights, Texture, and Shuffle so you can “paint” with fractals on your screen. You’ll learn how to save your favorites, size them correctly for fabric, and prepare files for printing at home or through print-on-demand services like Spoonflower.

Along the way, you’ll see inspiring quilt examples, including projects with fabric-confetti embellishment and custom-printed bindings that perfectly match the quilt top.

Prior to class: download the Fractal app, Frax, from the App Store.  Then purchase the in-app pro upgrade ($4.99).

Hands-on, iPad or iPhone required with IOS 11.0 or newer.
