Weave That! Creative Custom Fabric

Raid you stash to jazz up that purse, iron tote, bag, quilt, shirt, iPad/iPhone sleeve … the list can go on and on … with custom-made woven fabric. It’s surprisingly easy to do and worth the effort.

To learn the technique, the project is a zippered pouch about 4.5” x 8.5” . The fabric is created by weaving 1” wide strips of raw edge fabric cut from fat quarters or full width fabric. The new piece of fabric is further embellished with heavy 12 wt thread.

The pouch project is designed to be finished in class, so No UFO to take home :-)  Plus lots of samples below showing other ways to use creative custom fabric.
